Trawick first came to Southwestern in 2004, completing a Master of Divinity degree in 2008 and he is currently a Ph.D. candidate in systematic theology. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 2003, studying information science, technology, and business. His dissertation research focus is upon covenanted ecclesiology, specifically the theological elements that inform Baptist church covenant authorship and practice.
Trawick has over 15 years of experience in development activities, including the capacities of a Development Officer, Database Coordinator, and Associate Vice President. Outside of Institutional Advancement, he has also served as a teaching assistant for systematic theology at Southwestern, and he received the LifeWay Pastoral Leadership Award in 2008. He has extensive ministry experience as well, having worked in children’s, college, and youth ministry, along with supply preaching and evangelism ministries.
Trawick is married to Kristen, and they have two children. He says Matthew 28:18-20 reflects his mission, and his life verse is 1 Corinthians 4:4—“For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord.”
